Suffering for Souls
Great Pain for Sin
My Heart was moved by great mercy towards you, My dearest child, when I saw
you torn to shreds because of the great pain you suffered in repenting for
your sins (Diary, 282).
My Prayer Response:
Lord Jesus, You promised to St. Faustina that the sinner has the greatest
right to Your mercy (see Diary, 723, 1146, 1275). Have mercy, Lord, on
all who strive to repent and reform.

"The Holy Bible is like a mirror before our mind's eye. In it we see our
inner face. From the Scriptures we can learn our spiritual deformities and
beauties. And there too we discover the progress we are making and how far
we are from perfection."
— Pope St. Gregory the Great
