Be at peace!

Hello everyone,
I hope that all of you are doing well, staying home, and staying healthy; because that's what I'm doing.  I'm trying not to let what I'm hearing on the news every day, scare me.  The number of deaths, just here in the state of PA are getting higher and higher.

I was just listening to the news and they reported that one of the other countries had started re-opening their country at bit and now they are having more and more cases of the virus, once again.  That is what my fear is for the USA.

I know that folks are worried about not having enough money to pay their bills and rent or mortgage. I understand those concerns, but I'm trusting that God will help us, one way or another, in all our needs.

I am grateful that all my family members are healthy, and I pray that they stay that way.  I also know that many folks are bored just sitting around the house doing nothing but watching TV.  There is always something else that we can do, if we truly want to do something good with our time.

As for me, I'm still hand embroidering my dressed animals onto lap size blankets for children who are hospitalized and for folks in nursing homes.  I also am hand embroidering designs onto vintage looking towels, which I give away.

Please don't despair!  Put your faith in God and trust in His strength and guidance, always.  Most important, stay indoors and away from other people.  If you absolutely have to go outside, wear a mask and disinfect your hands when returning home.

Remember, you may carry this virus germs on your hands or face and you may not actually get it, but you may pass it along to a loved one.  Think about how that will make you feel, especially if they end up hospitalized or, God forbid, pass away from it!

Remember this:  God helps those who help themselves in staying healthy!
Take care and God bless each of you!
Susan

Proclaim My Mercy
My Mercy as a Defense

My daughter, tell souls that I am giving them My mercy as a defense. I Myself am fighting for them and am bearing the just anger of My Father (Diary, 1516).

Today before Holy Communion, the Lord said to me, My daughter, today talk openly to the superior [Mother Irene] about My mercy because, of all the superiors, she has taken the greatest part in proclaiming My mercy (Diary, 1519).

Do Not Be Discouraged

I heard a voice: Apostle of My mercy, proclaim to the whole world My unfathomable mercy. Do not be discouraged by the difficulties you encounter in proclaiming My mercy. These difficulties that affect you so painfully are needed for your sanctification and evidence that this work is Mine (Diary, 1142).

Spread the Honor of My Mercy

Souls who spread the honor of My mercy I shield through their entire lives as a tender mother her infant, and at the hour of death I will not be a Judge for them, but the Merciful Savior. At that last hour, a soul has nothing with which to defend itself except My mercy. Happy is the soul that during its lifetime immersed itself in the Fountain of Mercy, because justice will have no hold on it (Diary, 1075).

APRIL 28, 2020

"Be peace-loving. Peace is a precious treasure to be sought with great zeal. You are well aware that our sins arouse God’s anger. You must change your life, therefore, so that God in his mercy will pardon you. What we conceal from men is known to God. Be converted, then, with a sincere heart. Live your life that you may receive the blessing of the Lord. Then the peace of God our Father will be with you always."

Special Devotion to My Mercy

The flames of mercy are burning Me. I desire to pour them out upon human souls. Oh, what pain they cause Me when they do not want to accept them!

My daughter, do whatever is within your power to spread devotion to My mercy. I will make up for what you lack. Tell aching mankind to snuggle close to My merciful Heart, and I will fill it with peace (Diary, 1074).

Rouse Others to Love Me

I heard a voice within my soul. I am very pleased that you had not been talking with Me, but were making My goodness known to souls and rousing them to love Me (Diary, 404).

Tell the world about My mercy and My love (Diary, 1074).

My Prayer Response:
Dear Jesus, teach me and all apostles of Divine Mercy to tell the world about Your mercy and love — and rouse them to love You! May the whole world come to know of Your mercy.

The Last Hope of Salvation

I heard a voice in my soul: These words are for you. Do all you possibly can for this work of My mercy. I desire that My mercy be worshiped, and I am giving mankind the last hope of salvation; that is, recourse to My mercy. My Heart rejoices in this feast. After these words, I understood that nothing can dispense me from the obligation which the Lord demands from me (Diary, 998).

Proclaim My Mercy
Claiming Your Promise

During one of the adorations, Jesus promised me that: With souls that have recourse to My mercy and with those that glorify and proclaim My great mercy to others, I will deal according to My infinite mercy at the hour of their death (Diary, 379).
My Prayer Response:
Jesus, You promised to deal according to Your mercy with all who have recourse to Your mercy — those who glorify it and those who proclaim Your mercy to others. I claim Your promise for all those who are devoted to Your Divine Mercy!

My Own Glory

But God has promised a great grace especially to you [Father Sopocko] and to all those ... who will proclaim My great mercy. I shall protect them Myself at the hour of death, as My own glory. And even if the sins of souls were as dark as night, when the sinner turns to My mercy, he gives Me the greatest praise and is the glory of My Passion. My Inconceivable Mercy

Jesus said to me with kindness, My daughter, speak to priests about this inconceivable mercy of Mine. The flames of mercy are burning Me — clamoring to be spent; I want to keep pouring them out upon souls; souls just don't want to believe in My goodness (Diary, 177).

The Chaplet of Mercy
Peace to the Tormented Soul

Today, the Lord came to me and said, My daughter, help Me to save souls. You will go to a dying sinner, and you will continue to recite the chaplet, and in this way you will obtain for him trust in My mercy, for he is already in despair (Diary, 1797).

Suddenly, I found myself in a strange cottage where an elderly man was dying amidst great torments. All about the bed was a multitude of demons and the family, who were crying. When I began to pray, the spirits of darkness fled, with hissing and threats directed at me. The soul became calm and, filled with trust, rested in the Lord.

At the same moment, I found myself again in my own room. How this happens ... I do not know (Diary, 1798)

The Chaplet of Mercy
In a Great Storm

Today I was awakened by a great storm. The wind was raging, and it was raining in torrents, thunderbolts striking again and again. I began to pray that the storm would do no harm, when I heard the words: Say the chaplet I have taught you, and the storm will cease. I began immediately to say the chaplet and hadn't even finished it when the storm suddenly ceased, and I heard the words: Through the chaplet you will obtain everything, if what you ask for is compatible with My will (Diary, 1731).

Friday, April 17, 2020

Good morning everyone!

First, I want to thank everyone who is reading the Divine Mercy Minutes that I post daily.  These readings have given me such strength, not just right now, but for a long time now.  They especially help me while we're gong through the terrible ordeal with the Corona-virus.

We only truly have one person we can put our trust in, and that's God, himself.  Of course that includes Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, as they are three persons in one God!

Please just try to relax and find something that you can do to give thanks to God for His many blessings.  It doesn't have to be something big or costly, it can be as simple as praying for everyone, a couple of times throughout the day.

My calming act is at three o'clock every day, when I can go to my bedroom, be alone with Jesus, and pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet on my rosary.  It brings a great calmness over me and I feel His presence with me.  If you've never prayed the Chaplet, please try doing so.

Emerge yourself in Jesus's Crucifixion, starting with Pilot condemning Him to be crucified, scourged and hung on a cross to die.  Let yourself feel the immense hatred that came from the crowd of people who, not only wanted Jesus to be crucified, but to be hung on a cross until He died.  Picture, in your mind, the blood pouring out of His body after being whipped over and over again.

Yes, it is painful to envision these things, I will admit, but it is necessary for all of us to envision exactly what Jesus went through before His death on a cross.  These visions bring the tears to my eyes and make me very humble.  We all need to feel this within ourselves.

I hope you stay well and trust in Our Divine Lord, always.  Take care of yourselves and may God bless and keep you all safe.
Susan

Reflections from the Diary of Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska

Friday, April 17

Novena before the Feast of Mercy
Eighth Day

Today bring to Me THE SOULS WHO ARE DETAINED IN PURGATORY, and immerse them in the abyss of My mercy. Let the torrents of My Blood cool down their scorching flames. All these souls are greatly loved by Me. They are making retribution to My justice. It is in your power to bring them relief. Draw all the indulgences from the treasury of My Church and offer them on their behalf. Oh, if you only knew the torments they suffer, you would continually offer for them the alms of the spirit and pay off their debt to My justice (Diary, 1226).

Today bring to me the souls who especially venerate and glorify My mercy

(Jesus speaks to Saint Maria Faustina, in bold font)

Seventh Day

"Today bring to me the souls who especially venerate and glorify My mercy, and immerse them in My mercy. These souls sorrowed most over My Passion and entered most deeply into My Spirit. They are living images of My Compassionate Heart. These souls will shine with a special brightness in the next life. Not one of them will go into the fire of hell. I shall particularly defend each one of them at the hour of death".

Most Merciful Jesus, whose Heart is Love Itself, receive into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls of those who particularly extol and venerate the greatness of Your mercy. These souls are mighty with the very power of God Himself. In the midst of all afflictions and adversities they go forward, confident of Your mercy. These souls are united to Jesus and carry all mankind on their shoulders. These souls will not be judged severely, but Your mercy will embrace them as they depart from this life.

A soul who praises the goodness of her Lord
Is especially loved by Him.
She is always close to the living fountain
And draws graces from Mercy Divine.

Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the souls who glorify and venerate Your greatest attribute, that of Your fathomless mercy, and who are enclosed in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. These souls are a living Gospel; their hands are full of deeds of mercy, and their spirit, overflowing with joy, sings a canticle of mercy to You, O Most High! I beg You O God: Show them Your mercy according to the hope and trust they have placed in You. Let there be accomplished in them the promise of Jesus, who said to them, " I Myself will defend as My own glory, during their lifetime, and especially at the hour of their death, those souls who will venerate My fathomless mercy".

Amen.

Today bring to me the meek and humble souls

(Jesus speaks to Saint Maria Faustina, in bold font)

Sixth Day

"Today bring to me the meek and humble souls and the souls of little children, and immerse them in My mercy. These souls most closely resemble My Heart. They strengthened Me during My bitter agony. I saw them as earthly Angels, who would keep vigil at My altars. I pour out upon them whole torrents of grace. Only the humble soul is able to receive My grace. I favour humble souls with My confidence".

Most Merciful Jesus, You yourself have said, "Learn from Me for I am meek and humble of heart." Receive into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart all meek and humble souls and the souls of little children. These souls send all heaven into ecstasy and they are the heavenly Father's favourites. They are a sweet-smelling bouquet before the throne of God; God himself takes delight in their fragrance. These souls have a permanent abode in Your Most Compassionate Heart, O Jesus, and they unceasingly sing out a hymn of love and mercy.

A truly gentle and humble soul
Already here on earth the air of paradise breathes,
And in the fragrance of her humble heart
The Creator Himself delights.

Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon meek souls, upon humble souls, and upon the souls of little children who are enfolded in the abode which is the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. These souls bear the closest resemblance to Your Son. Their fragrance rises from the earth and reaches Your very throne. Father of mercy and of all goodness, I beg You by the love You bear these souls and by the delight You take in them: Bless the whole world, that all souls together may sing out the praises of Your mercy for endless ages.
Amen.

Today bring to Me the souls of heretics and schismatics

(Jesus speaks to Saint Maria Faustina, in bold font)

Fifth Day

"Today bring to Me the souls of heretics and schismatics, and immerse them in the ocean of My mercy. During My bitter Passion they tore at My Body and Heart; that is, My Church. As they return to unity with the Church, My wounds heal, and in this way they alleviate My Passion".

Most Merciful Jesus, Goodness Itself, You do not refuse light to those who seek it of You. Receive into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls of heretics and schismatics. Draw them by Your light into the unity of the Church, and do not let them escape from the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart; but bring it about that they, too, come to glorify the generosity of Your mercy.

Even for those who have torn the garment of your unity,
A fount of mercy flows from Your Heart.
The omnipotence of Your mercy, Oh God.
Can lead these souls also out of error.

Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the souls of heretics and schismatics, who have squandered Your blessings and misused Your graces by obstinately persisting in their errors. Do not look upon their errors, but upon the love of Your own Son and upon His bitter Passion, which He underwent for their sake, since they, too, are enclosed in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. Bring it about that they also may glorify Your great mercy for endless ages.
Amen.

Fourth Day

"Today bring to Me the pagans and those who do not yet know me. I was thinking also of them during My bitter Passion, and their future zeal comforted My Heart. Immerse them in the ocean of My mercy".

Most compassionate Jesus, You are the Light of the whole world. Receive into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls of pagans who as yet do not know You. Let the rays of Your grace enlighten them that they, too, together with us, may extol Your wonderful mercy; and do not let them escape from the abode which is Your Most Compassionate Heart.

May the light of Your love
Enlighten the souls in darkness;
Grant that these souls will know You
And, together with us, praise Your mercy.

Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the souls of pagans and of those who as yet do not know You, but who are enclosed in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. Draw them to the light of the Gospel. These souls do not know what great happiness it is to love You. Grant that they, too, may extol the generosity of Your mercy for endless ages.

Today bring to Me all devout and faithful souls

(Jesus speaks to Saint Maria Faustina, in bold font)

Third Day

"Today bring to Me all devout and faithful souls, and immerse them in the ocean of My mercy. These souls brought Me consolation on the Way of the Cross. They were that drop of consolation in the midst of an ocean of bitterness".

Most Merciful Jesus, from the treasury of Your mercy You impart Your graces in great abundance to each and all. Receive us into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart and never let us escape from it. We beg this of You by that most wondrous love for the heavenly Father with which Your Heart burns so fiercely.

The miracles of mercy are impenetrable.
Neither the sinner nor just one will fathom them.
When You cast upon us an eye of pity,
You draw us all closer to Your love.

Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon faithful souls, as upon the inheritance of Your Son. For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, grant them Your blessing and surround them with Your constant protection. Thus may they never fail in love or lose the treasure of the holy faith, but rather, with all the hosts of Angels and Saints, may they glorify your boundless mercy for endless ages.
Amen.

Dwells in pure hearts,
Bathed in the Sea of Mercy
Radiant as stars, bright as the dawn.
