Chosen Souls (Jesus speaks to St. Faustina circa 1935) On a certain occasion, the Lord said to me, "I am more deeply wounded by the small imperfections of chosen souls than by the sins of those living in the world".  It made me very sad that chosen souls make Jesus suffer, and Jesus told me, "These little imperfections are not all. I will reveal to you a secret of My Heart: what I suffer from chosen souls. Ingratitude in return for so many graces is My Heart's constant food, on the part of a chosen soul. Their love is lukewarm, and My Heart cannot bear it; these souls force Me to reject them. Others distrust My goodness and have no desire to experience that sweet intimacy in their own hearts, but go in search of Me, off in the distance, and do not find Me. This distrust of My goodness hurts Me very much. If My death has not convinced you of My love, what will? Often a soul wounds Me mortally, and then no one can comfort Me. They use My graces to offend Me. There are souls who despise My graces as well as all the proofs of My love. They do not wish to hear My call, but proceed into the abyss of hell. The loss of these souls plunges Me into deadly sorrow. God though I am, I cannot help such a soul because it scorns Me; having a free will, it can spurn Me or love Me. You, who are the dispenser of My mercy, tell all the world about My goodness, and thus you will comfort My Heart". (Diary No.580)Frid

I am never alone I often feel God's presence after Holy Communion in a special and tangible way. I know God is in my heart. And the fact that I feel Him in my heart does not interfere with my duties. Even when I am dealing with very important matters which require attention, I do not lose the presence of God in my soul, and I am closely united with Him. With Him I go to work, with Him I go for recreation, with Him I suffer, with Him I rejoice; I live in Him and He in me. I am never alone, because He is my constant companion. He is present to me at every moment. Our intimacy is very close, through a union of blood and of life. (Diary No.318)

How's your week going?

Hi everyone,

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving holiday, with lots of turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green been casserole, or other vegetable.  Of course, I'm sure there were plenty of yummy desserts to go with it.  We had a very nice Thanksgiving with family.

Well, now I suppose your mind is full of the upcoming Christmas season.  Most all of my shopping and handmade items have been done for many months now.  Well, all except for the newly added male or female friends.  I'm working on those gifts now.

My goal is to be finished with all the wrapping and gifts at least two weeks before Christmas Eve.  I will still probably have to do some more baking and candy making, but that's not too bad.  I love it when the last few days before the holiday, all I have to do is to prepare the Christmas Eve meal for my family.

I spent a few days with one of my daughters, my sister, and six of my friends in Ocean City, MD.  We had a wonderful time and I did do a little bit of shopping.  We went to the Country Store, in Salisbury, MD., which is one of my favorite stores.  Of course I made a few small purchases while there.

We went to Nick's House of Ribs while in OC.  It's one of our favorite restaurants to eat while there.  The crab cakes are the best I've ever tasted and I am told that the ribs are extremely good, also.  I
so enjoyed my time with family and friends.

Today I am sending you with My mercy to the people of the whole world. I do not want to punish aching mankind, but I desire to heal it, pressing it to My Merciful Heart. I use punishment when they themselves force Me to do so; My hand is reluctant to take hold of the sword of justice. Before the Day of Justice, I am sending the Day of Mercy". I replied, 'O my Jesus, speak to souls Yourself, because my words are insignificant'. (Diary No.1588)

Happy Thanksgiving Day!

Hello everyone,
I just wanted to take a few minutes before I start my day, to wish each and every one of you a very happy Thanksgiving day.

I give thanks today and everyday for so many, many blessings bestowed upon me by God.  He truly remains with me every minute of every day of my life and for this I have been so blessed.  I also thank Him for my family and all my extended family members, as well as all my friends that He's brought into my life. 

He's given me the gift of life and for that I'm so thankful.  I also give thanks to Him for each one of you, who continue reading my blog posts, daily.  I hope and pray that by posting the daily Mercy Minutes for you each day, has brought you some peace within your own life.  I know that it has had that effect on my life.

So, as we celebrate Thanksgiving Day today, remember that it all starts and ends with our Blessed Lord!  Have a safe and blessed day, with many joys and fond memories.
