I am mercy itself for the contrite soul

(Jesus speaks to Saint Maria Faustina)
"I am mercy itself for the contrite soul. A soul's greatest wretchedness does not enkindle Me with wrath; but rather, My Heart is moved towards it with great mercy".

"The devotion to the Eucharist is the most noble, because it has God as its object; it is the most profitable for salvation, because it gives us the Author of Grace; it is the sweetest, because the Lord is Sweetness Itself."

Happy Monday everyone!

I know, first hand, how hard times are, right now.  Having heart disease for many years now,
means my life hasn't been very active, but I thank God every morning when I wake up.

I know that it is, indeed, a very scary time now for all of us.  This virus is hitting the USA very hard now with many deaths already.  I am afraid for everyone throughout the world.  I have an anxiety disorder and it's been rearing it's ugly head lately, but I refuse to let it get me down.  My faith is in Jesus and it always will remain there.

I can't tell you why this is happening, but I do believe there is a reason for it.  I also believe that God is watching over us all.  If I stop believing that, I may as well be dead.

Please put your faith in Jesus Christ, His Father God, and the Holy Spirit to protect you, your family, your friends and all of us.  If we loose our faith in Him, we will be left with nothing and I for one, refuse to go there.

Stay inside your home, don't invite anyone else in, and don't go outside unless it is absolutely necessary.  If someone is picking up food, medicine, etc. for you, have them put it on your porch and call you to let you know that it's there.  Protect yourself first, then you can protect those you love and pray for everyone of us.

Stay safe and trust God to keep you safe!  Look at a beautiful photo, like this one, and take a deep breath.  Try not to worry excessively!

Say unceasingly the chaplet that I have taught you

(Jesus speaks to Saint Maria Faustina)
Once, as I was going down the hall to the kitchen, I heard these words in my soul: " Say unceasingly the chaplet that I have taught you. Whoever will recite it will receive great mercy at the hour of death. Priests will recommend it to sinners as their last hope of salvation. Even if there were a sinner most hardened, if he were to recite this chaplet only once, he would receive grace from My infinite mercy. I desire that the whole world know My infinite mercy. I desire to grant unimaginable graces to those souls who trust in My mercy".

Prayer for Mercy for Poor Sinners
by St. Faustina
O Jesus, eternal Truth, our Life, I call upon You and I beg Your mercy for poor sinners.

O sweetest Heart of my Lord, full of pity and unfathomable mercy, I plead with You for poor sinners.

O Most Sacred Heart, Fount of Mercy from which gush forth rays of inconceivable graces upon the entire human race, I beg of You light for poor sinners.

O Jesus, be mindful of Your own bitter Passion and do not permit the loss of souls redeemed at so dear a price of Your most precious Blood.

O Jesus, when I consider the great price of Your Blood, I rejoice at its immensity, for one drop alone would have been enough for the salvation of all sinners.

Although sin is an abyss of wickedness and ingratitude, the price paid for us can never be equalled. Therefore, let every soul trust in the Passion of the Lord, and place its hope in His mercy. God will not deny His mercy to anyone. Heaven and earth may change, but God's mercy will never be exhausted.

"Pray, hope and don't worry. Anxiety doesn't help at all. Our Merciful Lord will listen to your prayer."
— Saint Padre Pio
Oh, what immense joy burns in my heart when I contemplate Your incomprehensible goodness, O Jesus! I desire to bring all sinners to Your feet that they may glorify Your mercy throughout endless ages.

The Malice of Sin
In the meditation on sin, the Lord gave me to know all the malice of sin and the ingratitude that is contained in it. I feel within my soul a great aversion for even the smallest sin.

Let no soul fear to draw near to Me
(Jesus speaks to Saint Maria Faustina)
Let no soul fear to draw near to Me, even though its sins be as scarlet. My mercy is so great that no mind, be it of man or of angel, will be able to fathom it throughout all eternity. Everything that exists has come forth from the very depths of My most tender mercy. Every soul in its relation to Me will contemplate My love and mercy throughout eternity".

Happy Thursday, everyone!

Okay, well I'm trying to be happy, even though that's a bit hard to do right now, what with this coronavirus scare we're all living with every day.  How are all of you doing?  I hope that your answer is that you're okay, staying indoors as much as possible, and having no contact with anyone except those who live in the home with you.  This is what my husband and I are doing and will continue to do until things get better.  He did go for groceries today but we stocked up on the items we use weekly so if things get worse, we'll have food to eat for a few weeks.

Please take care of yourselves and stay indoors as much as you are able.  But, most important, please pray as often as you can.  Since we are mostly confined to our homes, prayer time should be easy for us to find.  We need God's blessings, mercy and compassion more now than we have for a long time.  Please ask God to wrap His arms around every one of us.  If we all are praying this same prayer, just think how many of us He will be protecting.

Take care of yourself and your families.  Try to find something worthwhile to do while you're stuck indoors.  Remember, it is the safest place you can be right now.

Even the Smallest Sin
Today, I entered into the bitterness of the Passion of the Lord Jesus. I suffered in a purely spiritual way. I learned how horrible sin was. God gave me to know the whole hideousness of sin. I learned in the depths of my soul how horrible sin was, even the smallest sin, and how much it tormented the soul of Jesus. I would rather suffer a thousand hells than commit even the smallest venial sin.

Let us beware of adding to the suffering of others
I will mention here that those who live with such a person should not add external sufferings; for indeed, when the soul's cup is full, the little drop we may add to it may be the one drop too much, and the cup of bitterness will overflow. And who will answer for such a soul? Let us beware of adding to the suffering of others, because that is displeasing to the Lord. If the sisters or the superiors knew or even suspected that a soul was suffering such trials, and they nevertheless added still other sufferings, they would be sinning gravely, and God himself would demand an account of them on behalf of such a soul.

Sin depends upon the degree of knowledge
A magnificent building will never rise if we reject the insignificant bricks. God demands great purity of certain souls, and so He gives them a deeper knowledge of their own misery. Illuminated by light from on high, the soul can better know what pleases God and what does not. Sin depends upon the degree of knowledge and light that exists within the soul. The same is true of imperfections.

Every time you go to confession
Today the Lord said to me, " Daughter, when you go to confession, to this fountain of My mercy, the Blood and Water which came forth from My Heart always flows down upon your soul and ennobles it. Every time you go to confession, immerse yourself entirely in My mercy, with great trust, so that I may pour the bounty of My grace upon your soul. When you approach the confessional, know this, that I Myself am waiting there for you. I am only hidden by the priest, but I myself act in your soul. Here the misery of the soul meets the God of mercy. Tell souls that from this fount of mercy souls draw graces solely with the vessel of trust. If their trust is great, there is no limit to My generosity. The torrents of grace inundate humble souls. The proud remain always in poverty and misery, because My grace turns away from them to humble souls".

Judge each one according to his conscience
O most gracious Lord, how merciful it is on Your part to judge each one according to his conscience and his discernment, and not according to people's talk. My spirit delights and feeds more and more on Your wisdom, which I am getting to know more and more deeply. And in this, the vastness of Your mercy becomes more and more manifest to me. O my Jesus, the effect of all this knowledge on my soul is that I am being transformed into a flame of love towards You, my God.

O humility, the most precious of virtues
Lord, although You often make known to me the thunders of Your anger, Your anger vanishes before lowly souls. Although You are great, Lord, You allow yourself to be overcome by a lowly and deeply humble soul. O humility, the most precious of virtues, how few souls possess you! I see only a semblance of this virtue everywhere, but not the virtue itself. Lord, reduce me to nothingness in my own eyes that I may find grace in Yours.

Make a novena for your country
On one occasion I heard these words in my soul, " Make a novena for your country. This novena will consist of the recitation of the Litany of the Saints. Ask your confessor for permission" [probably Father Sopocko or Father Andrasz]. I received permission at my next confession and began the novena that very evening. Towards the end of the litany I saw a great

The Immensity of Your Mercy
At the beginning of my religious life, suffering and adversities frightened and disheartened me. So I prayed continuously, asking Jesus to strengthen me and to grant me the power of His Holy Spirit that I might carry out His holy will in all things, because from the beginning I have been aware of my weakness. I know very well what I am of myself, because for this purpose Jesus has opened the eyes of my soul; I am an abyss of misery, and hence I understand that whatever good there is in my soul consists solely of His holy grace. The knowledge of my own misery allows me, at the same time, to know the immensity of Your mercy. In my own interior life, I am looking with one eye at the abyss of my misery and baseness, and with the other, at the abyss of Your mercy, O God.

"We have close to us as much as Joseph had at Nazareth; we have our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, but our poor eyes fail to see Him. Let us once become interior souls and we shall immediately see. In no better way can we enter into the Heart of our Lord than through Saint Joseph. Jesus and Mary are eager to pay the debts which they owe him for his devoted care of them, and their greatest pleasure is to fulfill his least desire. Let him, then, lead you by hand into the interior sanctuary of Jesus Eucharistic."
— St. Peter Julian Eymard
