Repetition can best be understood as deepening your personal communication with God. It is a continuation of prayer based on what God has begun to communicate with you. Keep in mind that ‘prayer is a personal response to God’s presence’ and ‘it means God first makes Himself present to you.’ Thus, what God wants to say to you is much more important than anything you may have to say to Him.
